All currently produced fireTEK devices included rechargeable LiPo batteries and the capability to add external power sources.
The internal battery of the FTQ firing module is a single cell 3.7V@2800mAh LiPo battery that can provide 24hours of standby power and is charged through a convenient USB C port.
Note: This 3.7V battery is more than capable of charging the 1.5 Farads of stored capacitance on the Power Board allowing up to 24V of firing power and can easily be increased to 29V with an external power source.
If the battery needs to be replaced, the single cell 3.7V@2800mAh LiPo battery is relatively easy to purchase at any battery retailer either locally or on line and can be replaced by the user.
Note: If the internal battery is completely depleted or even removed, the FTQ module can still function with an external USB power source.
If the FTQ module is not going to be used for more than 2 months, it is recommended to discharge the battery to one bar on the battery icon prior to storing the module.
